Booklet Blows the Cover on Same-Sex “Marriage”

February 24, 2012

Learn what you need to know in defending traditional marriage. We now have available in PDF form, Defending a Higher Law: Why We Must Resist Same-Sex “Marriage” and the Homosexual Movement. You’ll be astounded, for example, when you learn how a 1989 book turned the propaganda war in favor of the homosexual agenda.

This 212-page booklet, by Tradition, Family and Property, has been praised by pro-life leader Joe Scheidler who said that the book

strikes at the heel of the homosexual ideology. And by showing how homosexuality is being spread in America by a well organized movement of homosexuals with its anti-Christian ideology and studied methodology, this book gives us a powerful and useful weapon to oppose their offensive and to defend Christian values.

This excellent booklet normally sells for $14.95, and is available as a free download here.

Take action, say the bishops. (Photo, New York Daily News)

The administration is “on the wrong side of the Constitution” with its Health and Human Services ruling forcing Catholic hospitals to provide contraceptive and abortion-drug services, says Archbishop-delegate Timothy Dolan.

Most Rev. Dolan, president of the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops, sharply criticized the recent decision by the Obama administration, saying it “ordered almost every employer and insurer in the country to provide sterilization and contraceptives, including some abortion-inducing drugs, in their health plans.”

Religious leaders call out for traditional marriage

January 13, 2012

In a compelling letter, 39 religious leaders have asked Americans to acknowledge the importance of traditional marriage, calling out for religious freedom of organizations and individuals who observe traditional marriage. The letter states,

…we believe the most urgent peril is this: forcing or pressuring both individuals and religious organizations—throughout their operations, well beyond religious ceremonies—to treat same-sex sexual conduct as the moral equivalent of marital sexual conduct.

The letter was signed by Catholic bishops, Christian/Protestant organizations of various kinds, and Mormon and Jewish leaders.

November 1, 2011
Go to story in Hispanic Speaking News

In the majority opinion, the judges held that marriage between two people of the same sex is unconstitutional.

Some judges get it.

In a 9-1 vote, Chile’s Constitutional Tribunal has declared arguments for the legalization of gay marriage “inapplicable,” refusing to grant marriage licenses to gay couples. See the Hispanic Speaking News, “Chile’s Constitutional Court Says No Gay Marriage.”

Enthusiastic Response to Traditional Marriage at Pastors’ Conference

October 30, 2011
One of the best responses yet at the pastors' luncheon

Peter LaBarbera and Dick Walsh at IDMI's table at the pastors' luncheon

The referendum for traditional marriage received great interest Oct. 27 by evangelical pastors at a luncheon in Rolling Meadows.

More than 600 pastors at the Meadows Club heard the message for marriage between one man and one woman at the IDMI’s booth, as well as from the podium.

“It produced one of the most enthusiastic responses I have yet to see,” said Jim Finnegan, a Defend Marriage leader. “In particular I might add, from our black brothers and sisters. What dedicated people many of the African American ministers are.”

The lunch was the ninth annual such event, sponsored by the Christian radio station WYLL. Also helping distribute petitions were Peter LaBarbera,  of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, and Dick Walsh.

Chaplains Revolt Against Pentagon Order

October 28, 2011

U.S. Navy wedding, courtesy of WikimediaThis letter and news article came by way of a retired Navy soldier:

“I salute the Roman Catholic hierarchy and their many devoted military chaplains for showing the way. The strong support of the many hundreds of Evangelical religious leaders should likewise be applauded. It seems to me that our country has lost its way amongst the minefields and road bombs of contemporary liberal judicial proceedings.

“On the eve of the Revolt of the Admirals’ 62nd anniversary, we now have the Revolt of the Chaplains.

“The Bible states it is better to serve God than to serve man.” Read the remainder of this entry »

Sun-Times Letter Exposes Hate Crime

October 26, 2011

The Chicago Sun-Times recently ran a letter to the editor denouncing the vandalism carried out against the Church of Christian Liberty in Arlington Heights just before a fund-raising banquet of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality. In this incident, homosexual activists admitted to having committed the crime. Read our report of this incident.

Dear Editor,

The recent attack on the Church of Christian Liberty in Arlington Heights for offering a venue for an event celebrating the sanctity of marriage was disgusting and cowardly.

Early Oct. 15, the bricks were thrown through the windows. Messages left little doubt who was responsible. “This is just a sample of what we will do if you don’t shut down Scot Lively.” “F – - – Scot Lively.” “Quit the homophobic S – - -.”

The “tolerance” police from the homosexual community have spoken. Read the remainder of this entry »
