The Illinois Defense of Marriage Tour took the message of traditional marriage to 18 stops in nine cities in August.

Enthusiastic support was the response to a team of Illinois citizens who brought the message to various cities throughout the state last month about the referendum petition to define marriage as “between one man and one woman.” (See video at right.)

The group, which made the tour Aug. 22-26 to 18 stops in nine cities, was joined by ten members of TFP (Tradition, Family, Property)  as well as local people at every stop in supporting traditional marriage.

There was overwhelming support from traffic and pedestrians at all stops. Car horns continued to honk non stop in response to banners and signs from TFP announcing the reason for being on the streets, and in response to the several “Honk if you support one man, one woman traditional marriage” signs. Positive responses outnumbered negative ones at least fifty to one. The largest turnout of local persons, thirty, was in Rockford.
